Autobiographical Narrative
There are no shortcuts to any place worth going. I come from a Mexican family, which means that they struggled a lot. My parents were born in Mexico and came to the United States to look for a better life for them, as well as for us so we wouldn’t be suffering like they did. I was born and raised here and I am going to put all my effort to have a good education and make my parents be proud of me.
I was born and raised here in the United States but, my parents were born in Mexico and they came here to give their children a better life. They also came over here because there is actually work here and they are thankful for their job. Even though it is hard, tyring, and it’s not easy, they are still thankful for what they have. My parents taught me to work hard in school so when I’m older I won’t have to be working where they’re working at and I really appreciate that because working in the fields is not an easy job. I try to help them as much as I can and in the weekends I go help them work.
Furthermore, I try my best in school and even though it is not easy I never give up because I know that in the end it’s all going to be worth it. Not only for me but also for my parents because it’s going to be my turn to help them out and appreciate everything they have done for me. My goals are to graduate high school, go to college, and then find a good job. I know that with my family’s support I am going to make it because they’re constantly motivating me to do my best. I know that it’s not easy but all I have to do is keep on moving forward and think positive about myself because once I’m done with everything not only will my family be proud of me but also myself for making it that far and making my family happy.
When I graduate from high school I want to go to college. I want to study to be a nurse. My family says that’s a good thing because it’s a good education and a good career. I thank them for everything they have done for me because without their help and support I wouldn’t be this far. Ever since I came in high school I have worked very hard to try and pass all my classes because I know that I’m going to be on my own after I graduate and even though it’s not going to be easy, I know it’s not impossible either. I’m also planning on helping my parents out with as much as I can so they can see that I’m thankful for everything they did for me.
In conclusion, it doesn’t matter how hard something is, if you want to get somewhere and you really try hard, you’ll accomplish it. Even though my family comes from Mexico I’m still proud and thankful that they came over here so we can have a better life. They suffered on their way over here but now it’s worth it because we all have a good life. Nothing would be the same if we were in Mexico because in Mexico life is not easy. Now i’m going to work hard and help them out and make sure that my family but most importantly my parents have everything they need.
